The Renault 4L (also called 'Quartelle') was a very special car, I can confirm, because I owned one. The Renault 4L was the first front-wheel drive car by Renault and was built between 1961 and 1994, the model car on the pictures is a 1962 version. This 1962 version had to live with a 747cc engine with only 20HP.Just like I did, most owners loved their Quatrelle for its practicality and simplicity.
The Renault 4 also played a role in the famous movie 'Trafic' by Jacques Tati.
